Rapid Radios Nationwide PTT Walkie-Talkie

I have a bit of a history of buying useless products that don’t live up to the hype. It took me months of seeing your ads to pull the plug and buy these because I was skeptical they’d work as advertised. This might be just another one of those cheap useless products, but something told me give it a try. We already have a set of portable GMRS/Ham radios, and a satellite phone but neither is ideal for what I want which is simple, push a button and talk technology. When these first came, I took it downstairs to open it and make sure it looked solid and looked believable before sharing with my husband. I unboxed and finally got the courage to take it upstairs to show him because when it comes to radios, he KNOWS his stuff. Just a bit of background, he is a radio guru. He’s a police officer of 50+ years and has worked with radios all his career. At one point he was selected as the southeast spokesperson on a national task force headed by “the” alphabet agency:-) that worked on communication and radios for law enforcement. It was an elite group of people working on systems and needs of the state and local law enforcement community and the work they did went up as high in this government as you can go. He knows all the ins and outs of radios, frequencies, programming etc. I showed these radios to him, told him what your marketing said they could do and waited for his response. He looked at these, smiled and said there is no possible way these will work as advertised. I said let’s give them a try, I have 30 days to send them back. So, a bit skeptical I gave it my first try, I took them to the grocery 5 miles away, hoping they’d work but fully expecting them to cut out after the first mile. Nope, they were flawless! Next day he took it to a job 12 miles away, not expecting them to work that distance, but again… perfect. But they surely won’t work at my office 92 miles away he said…again he was surprised. The real test will be this week as we head to our mountain property. We have some fairly remote acreage up in north GA with both a mountain top and a valley and a metal barn, the trifecta of communication issues. We do have cell service but it can be spotty within the barn which is in the valley area. If we are able to communicate there, he will be your very best fan and spokesperson. I bought 4 of these. I will be sending one to my son in Oregon and one to a son in CA. So far your radios have exceeded my expectations, worked flawlessly and saved me from the embarrassment of adding another “What in the world did you buy now” to the list, so kudos to you!!! I’ll keep you posted.

These radios are great. I gave one to each of my siblings, the furthest one is an hour and a half away and we all can talk to her but no issues we find that we use these more than our cell phones because we usually text each other and respond time on texting is not as good as talking on these radios we. We love them.
